In typical Stormsriver fashion - a plan was made for our local kids to be able to watch Bafana Bafana and other important matches. Stormsriver Adventures, in collaboration with Stormsriver West Community members facilitated a joint collaboration and a DSTV dish and screen was put up in our Community Centre; a safe environment created for our kids to enjoy the World Cup watched over by volunteers from the Community and even a hot meal was provided.

BUT - What happens after the final whistle, when the drone of Vuvuzelas has died down and the visitors from all corners of the world have gone home. Are we going to leave you high and dry - a resounding NO - we are going to continue the Gees here in Stormsriver. Serenity Retreat is offering a 10% discount for 60 days after the World Cup, a free soap pack from the Soap Kitchen to soothe the skin and wash away the winter blues, The Armagh Country guest house extends discounts at their Mountain Spa and Discount Vouchers for Rafters Restaurant and we are also able to offer a massive 20% discount on Tree Top Canopy Tours booked through ourselves until the end of August.

Storms River was abuzz from 30 April to 2nd May to the sounds of Elivis and the streets were lined with festive stalls, Cadillacs of many hues, Marilyn lookalikes, the smells of the diner and all sorts of Elvis era memorabilia and brilliant live shows from Elvis Tribute artists and Shaky Russel and his band. A good clean time was had by all and we hope that Oom Jan and Ann from the Protea Hotel Village Inn will do it again next year. Hats off to you guys for bringing something fresh, festive and vibrant to the Tsitsikamma.

News from Serenity Retreat. Dogs are snoring, Kitty is boring. No guests but plenty of pests - mossies are out in force tonite. All is calm and bright. Praise God.
